The SafetyTek Toolbox Talks app has 365 pre-packaged toolbox talks on everything from ladder safety to extreme weather conditions. The two-minute talks are automatically delivered to workers’ mobile phones. After watching a talk, employees take a brief quiz to demonstrate their understanding. Managers can see which toolbox talk each worker watched and their quiz scores.

Acumatica Cloud ERP new features for Construction and Field Service platform include simplified project workflow via project drop shipments and synchronized accounts payable bills and subcontractor invoices seamlessly with Procore.

Newforma’s Workflow Connectorconnects ConstructEx and Project Center solutions, unifying users’ existing applications and data so a contractor and design team can automatically exchange submittals and RFIs. With Project Center, team members transfer, store and share files throughout every stage of the design and build process.

Locusview’s Digital Construction Managementplatform for utilities managing infrastructure construction projects has mobile and web applications with real-time synchronization and integration to enterprise systems like GIS and ERP to streamline data flow. Locusview Mobile allows assigned field crews to collect digital as-builts with high accuracy GPS receivers and barcode scanners. Locusview Web gives back-office management real-time field visibility with alerts to enable rapid corrections and quicker close-outs.

Partnerships, Acquisitions & Integrations

Cupix CupixWorks 2.0 3D digital twin platform now integrates with Autodesk BIM 360 and PlanGrid, both part of the Autodesk Construction Cloud. The integrations will allow users to import 3D models and plans from Autodesk BIM 360 into CupixWorks; use Cupix’s 3D 360-degree site-view mode to “walk through” jobsites remotely, creating RFIs, issues and tasks immediately and assigning them to project stakeholders on the BIM 360 and PlanGrid platforms; and streamline workflows for RFIs, issues and tasks in BIM 360 and PlanGrid.

HammerTech’s integration with Procore connects jobsite and office teams to speed-up weekly contract administration and get subcontractors job-ready. Owners, engineers and contractors can power up Procore’s construction management solution with HammerTech’s Safety Control Tower platform to leverage orientations, enrollments, JHAs, SWMSs, equipment management, permits, bookings and more.

Video & Cool Stuff

Gearflow.com, the first transparent online parts marketplace built for the construction industry, connects equipment owners to the parts they need from suppliers they trust.

Drone Deploy’s Q2 Industry Data Report reports the construction industry experienced moderate quarterly growth with a 16% increase in flights and a 5% increase in users (10% YOY growth in flights, 5% YOY growth in users). This reflects the general rise in construction following the pandemic, especially with warmer weather, raw materials costs decreasing and more permit approvals.
