Joel Nickel Joins Barton Malow to Lead the Mission Critical Market

On Feb. 27, veteran operations leader Joel Nickel has joined Barton Malow to lead the firm’s Mission Critical market. In his role, Nickel will elevate and enhance Barton Malow’s presence in the mission-critical and data-center construction market. He will lead work acquisition, operations and the development of future market strategies, relationship building and growth opportunities for this emerging market.

Gilbane Building Company Names Jeff Lewis as Business Leader for Raleigh Durham Market

On March 17, Gilbane Building Company announced the promotion of Jeff Lewis as business leader for the Raleigh, North Carolina, office. This strategic move aligns with Gilbane's 2024 growth plans and the company's commitment to delivering projects across diverse market sectors for clients.

McMahon Celebrates Professional Growth and Welcomes New Talent

On March 28, McMahon proudly celebrated the achievements of Daniel Ewart and Ashlee Prochnow, who recently obtained new professional licenses. In addition, the firm announces the hiring of Joe Koschnik and Nolan Niedermeyer.

S&B Appointments

On March 19, S&B announced Greg Hafer as its executive vice president, chief commercial officer, effective immediately. Hafer will lead the commercial development efforts, aligning the company’s strengths with customers’ needs.

S&B also appointed Jeffrey G. Sipes on March 27 as chief executive officer, effective immediately. Sipes has served as S&B’s chief commercial officer since 2021.

ANF Group Announces Promotions and Expansion of Its Leadership Team

On April 3, ANF expanded its leadership team and announced the promotions of three leaders responsible for the company’s long-term growth and building a legacy business. This announcement comes on the heels of ANF’s vision of becoming one of the leading construction and development firms in South Florida.

Luis Senra, Chief Operations Officer: With 21 years of exemplary service at ANF, Senra transitions from his role as vice president of preconstruction to oversee the company's operational functions, driving project efficiency and sustainable growth.

Anni Maresca, Chief Financial Officer: With over 25 years of experience in construction accounting, Maresca started her finance career at ANF in 1997 after graduating with a bachelor’s degree in accounting. Before being promoted, Anni served as ANF’s controller.

David González, Chief Legal Officer: This significant promotion solidifies González’ integral role within the executive team, where he will oversee the legal and risk management functions of the organization.

Big-D Companies Announces Laura Shivers as Vice President of Marketing and Business Development

On April 11, Big-D Companies announced the promotion of Laura Shivers to the role of vice president of marketing and business development. Since joining Big-D Construction’s Southwest office in 2020, Shivers effectively led the office in developing new opportunities in Arizona and improved follow-through to enhance relationships that resulted in tangible outcomes.
