BRINKMANN CONSTRUCTORS FOUNDER TO RETIRE
On July 25, it was announced Bob Brinkmann, founder and chairman of the board of Brinkmann Constructors, will retire. After working for 61 years, 40 of them at them at the firm he founded, Brinkmann plans to spend his time enjoying farming and travel.
LECHASE PROMOTES STEVE CORLETTA TO REGIONAL OPERATIONS MANAGER
On July 30, LeChase Construction Services LLC promoted Steve Corletta to the role of regional operations manager in its New York Metro office. In this role, Corletta will work to expand LeChase’s business in the greater New York metropolitan area, with responsibility for managing client, employee and subcontractor relationships, as well as overseeing daily operations and ensuring projects meet or exceed client expectations for safety, quality and value.

On Aug. 1, Swinerton announced the promotion of industry expert Jason Hlewicki to director of client services for its Carolinas division in support of Swinerton’s East Coast operations. Hlewicki brings extensive industry experience alongside familiarity with Swinerton’s standards, having managed over $1 billion in construction projects throughout his career. On Aug. 6, national accounting and advisory firm Weaver announced an expanded leadership team in its Transaction Advisory Services practice with the addition of Eric Stovall, John Ruckstuhl CPA and Ron Ellis CPA. Stovall and Ruckstuhl join the firm as managing directors and Ellis joins the firm as a director.

On Aug. 7, Suffolk announced the addition of Leif Johnson as project executive of its aviation team on the West Coast. Johnson brings with him strong relationships on the West Coast, experience managing airport construction projects and a commitment to leveraging technology and data to increase efficiencies on projects. Johnson will leverage his deep knowledge of the aviation sector and his understanding of client needs to manage project execution and support business development efforts in the region, enabling Suffolk to continue to expand its aviation footprint and portfolio in the region.

On Aug. 27, Warfel Construction Company announced the hiring of Matt Caplinger as director of construction services, and Kristin Hambleton as director of marketing. In his role, Caplinger is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of construction services teams. As director of marketing, Hambleton will lead the marketing strategy in support of Warfel’s internal and external business development and marketing goals.
