Samantha Lake Joins ProNovos as Chief Operating Officer

In Atlanta on June 26, ProNovos appointed Samantah Lake as chief operating officer, the first COO position ever created by the leading technology firm known for its analytics, financial workflows and project-management solutions for construction contractors. Lake brings more than 16 years of experience in associations, technology, organization culture and traning and development to the new role.

POETTKER CONSTRUCTION’S TOM ALBERS ANNOUNCES RETIREMENT AFTER 43 YEARS—And on Company’s 43rd Anniversary

On June 26, Poettker Construction Company’s vice president of field operations, Tom Albers, announced his retirement after 43 years. As one of Poettker’s first employees, along with the company’s founder Charles “Chuck” Poettker, Albers helped grow the business into one of the largest contracting firms in the country. Albers’ official retirement date also marked the 43rd anniversary of the company’s inception

Skanska USA Building Launches Data Solutions Team

The leading global construction and development firm announced on June 27 the leadership of its new USA Building’s data solutions team. Led by Skanska veterans Will Senner and Amy Jones, the team will focus on ensuring the data created and utilized every day is more accessible and connected through easy-to-use tools and dashboards, to drive the most data-informed business decisions for clients.

Daniel Ewart, Gerald Kudek, Dylan Rass, Amy Sedlar and Susan Tucker join McMahon

On June 30, McMahon, a full-service, professional engineering and architectural firm, welcomed Daniel Ewart as an electrical engineer, Gerald Kudek as a public safety specialist, Dylan Rass as an architectural designer, Amy Sedlar as a survey technician and Susan Tucker as a water and wastewater designer.

McCarthy's Mark Crosby Joins American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) Board of Directors

During the 95th Annual AAAE Conference & Exposition in Denver held June 3-5, McCarthy Building Companies Inc.’s vice president of aviation, Mark Crosby, was recently appointed to the AAAE Board of Directors and elected vice chair of the corporate committee. Mark’s new leadership positions will further enable him to establish the policy and direction of the association which represents individuals who work at public-use commercial and general aviation airports. With 30+ years of experience in aviation, Mark’s new role on the Board of Directors will be integral in fostering his ability to deliver exceptional results to McCarthy’s aviation clients and advance the firm’s aviation portfolio locally in the Northern California area and across the country.

Skanska promotes Mark Balling to Executive Vice President and General Manager leading building operations in North Carolina/Virginia

On July 24, Skanska announced Mark Balling has been promoted to Executive Vice President and General Manager overseeing its building operations in North Carolina/Virginia. He succeeds Greg Peele, who was recently promoted to Regional Executive Officer for the Southeast and Central regions.

Worth & Company Welcomes Justin Krall as Chief Operating Officer

On July 24, Worth & Company was pleased to announce that Justin Krall has joined the firm as its chief operating officer. Krall, originally from Harrisburg, Pa., joins Worth & Company after serving as chief operating officer and vice president of a mid-sized regional mechanical contracting firm.

ADOLFSON & PETERSON HIRES TAHNEE SAUER AS CENTRAL TEXAS MARKETING MANAGER

In Austin, Texas, on July 25, Adolfson & Peterson Construction (AP), a national, family-owned construction management and contracting company, recently welcomed Tahnee Sauer as the new Central Texas marketing manager in the AP Austin office. With an extensive background in art and design, Tahnee brings the AP team a fresh approach to marketing management.

U.S. Secretary of Labor appoints Skanska’s Mindy Uber to Department’s Advisory Committee on Construction Safety and Health

Skanska announced on July 25 that Mindy Uber, senior director, Environmental Health & Safety, Skanska USA Building, has been appointed by Acting U.S. Secretary of Labor Julie A. Su to the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Advisory Committee on Construction Safety and Health (ACCSH). As an employer representative on the 15-person committee, Uber will serve a two-year term and provide advice and assistance in construction standards and policy matters.

HPM Hires Senior Project Manager as Firm Expands Life Sciences Footprint

On July 26, Birmingham-based program management firm, HPM, announced hiring Chandler Creel as senior project manager, expanding the firm’s capabilities in the pharmaceutical and life sciences industries. Chandler joined HPM’s Atlanta office and is overseeing numerous projects across the firm’s portfolio.

Skanska Promotes Sean Szatkowski to General Manager of New York Building Operations

On July 26, Skanska announced the promotion of Sean Szatkowski to general manager of Skanska USA Building’s New York operations. Elevating from his previous role as senior vice president, account manager in the region, Sean will be responsible for overseeing the firm’s business operations in New York, while simultaneously establishing new and maintaining existing client relationships.
