Construction Employment News: August 2022
Here’s a look at employment moves that occurred in the construction industry this month.
Adolfson & Peterson Construction
Eric Churchill joined Adolfson & Peterson Construction (AP) as director of business development for Central Texas in the company’s Austin office. In addition, Melisa Baune joined the firm as director of business development for North Texas in AP’s Dallas office. AP is a national, family-owned construction management and contracting company.
Frampton Construction Company, LLC
David Oliphant was promoted to senior superintendent; Keith Horton, Dan Moore and Kyle Shank were promoted to senior project managers; Zach Hollifield was promoted to project manager; and Ryan Colucci was promoted to assistant project manager of Frampton Construction Company, LLC. Frampton Construction Company is a full-service construction firm providing planning and design support, preconstruction and construction services.
Martina McIsaac, region head and CEO of Hilti North America, resigned from her position (effective Oct. 1, 2022). Mike McGowan was promoted to the position and is currently senior vice president and general manager of the Hilti North America East Market Organization. In addition to being region head and CEO, McGowan will serve on the Hilti Group Executive Management Team. Hilti North America is part of the Hilti Group.
Andy Daw was named vice president of global procurement and supply chain for the Oshkosh Access segment, which includes the JLG aerial equipment and Jerr-Dan towing and recovery equipment brands. JLG Industries, Inc., is an Oshkosh Corporation company.
Christopher Christy joined Kaufman Lynn Construction’s leadership team as vice president of preconstruction. Christy is a seasoned preconstruction and estimating management professional.
Mark Crosby joined McCarthy Building Companies as vice president of aviation. An accredited airport executive, Crosby is a nationally recognized subject matter expert in airport security, operations and planning, emergency management, and public safety.
Chris Vaeth was named senior vice president of the Kansas City region for McCownGordon Construction. With nearly 20 years of experience with the company, Vaeth is a seasoned leader.
Steve Bestard was promoted to COO of Messer Construction Co., previously serving as senior vice president. In this role, he will advance construction operations and strategic planning throughout the company, as well as drive consistency and resource coordination across projects.
Melvin Spinks, senior vice president of Woolpert, was elected to a two-year term on the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) of Texas Board of Directors. Spinks serves as the president of CivilTech, a Woolpert Company, and has participated in ACEC Texas at the local, state and national levels for the last 25 years.
