SCOPE | Replacing 50-year-old fixed-span and swing-span bridges connecting the mainland to Harkers Island with a single, 3,200-foot-long, fixed-span bridge incorporating carbon-fiber-reinforced polymer strands and glass-fiber-reinforced polymer bars and offering a navigational clearance of 45 feet
