Here’s a look at employment moves that occurred in the construction industry this month.

Cavignac

Daniel Dias joined Cavignac as a risk advisor in the firm’s construction specialty. Daniel has more than 25 years of experience in the insurance industry with a focus on helping clients reduce their overall total cost of risk. Cavignac is a commercial insurance broker and risk management consultancy.

Consigli Construction Co.

Laura Bush, director of operations, NYC metro region for Consigli Construction Co., is now head of the company’s New York City operations. With over 25 years of experience, Bush’s role will continue to focus on the growth and development in the region as well as delivering consistency in day-to-day operations and workforce development. Consigli Construction Co. is an employee-owned construction manager in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic.

GZA GeoEnvironmental, Inc.

Stephanie Turkot, project manager for GZA GeoEnvironmental (GZA), received the inaugural Women’s Leadership Award from the Urban Land Institute (ULI) Northern New Jersey (NNJ) chapter. The ULI NNJ Excellence Awards honor what the chapter describes as “the highest caliber of projects and people within our industry in our region.” GZA is a leading multi-disciplinary firm providing geotechnical, environmental, ecological, water and construction management services.

NEU

Drew Burns, CAE, was hired to serve as the executive director of NEU: An ACI Center of Excellence for Carbon Neutral Concrete by its board of directors. NEU provides access to technologies and the knowledge needed to effectively and safely produce and place carbon neutral concrete in the built environment.

Western Specialty Contractors

Daniel Rodriguez was named regional business development manager of Western Specialty Contractors’ New York and Washington, D.C., metro areas. In his new position, Rodriguez is responsible for maintaining existing client relationships and identifying and developing new clients throughout his region. Western Specialty Contractors is a specialty contractor in masonry and concrete restoration, waterproofing and specialty roofing.
