For the eighth year in a row, fall protection was the leading workplace safety violation cited by OSHA in 2018. More than 7,200 violations were recorded through Sept. 30. And for the first time, eye and face protection joined the list in the 10th spot, with 1,536 violations in fiscal year 2018.

The remainder of the top 10 list includes hazard communication, scaffolding, respiratory protection, lockout/tagout, ladders, powered industrial trucks, fall protection training requirements and machine guarding.
