Apps

With Procore’s new Embedded Experience, users can access and use third-party apps in the Procore platform without leaving Procore. Admins can install and manage apps for critical workflows so teams have access to their favorite solutions – all in one place. Just some of the embedded apps include:

  • Bridgit’s resource planning tool, Bridgit Bench, for workforce intelligence and optimization;
  • HyperCast ClimaCell’s weather forecasting dashboard for historical, real-time and forecast weather information at any specific location;
  • OpenSpace’s automated 360° photo documentation and analysis for virtual walkthroughs; and
  • Pype’s AutoSpecs for exporting automatically-generated submittal logs, and importing submittal requirements and subcontractor information from Procore into Pype’s Closeout to automatically notify trade partners of closeout requirements.

UpKeep CMMS helps track, schedule and organize maintenance for construction equipment. UpKeep's mobile app gives technicians access to an equipment's complete maintenance history, maintenance schedule, manuals and open work orders out in the field.

Software & In the Cloud

GRAPHISOFT ARCHICAD® 23 speeds essential daily processes such as software startup, file opening, working in multi-project environments and navigating between different views of the BIM project. New Opening, Column and Beam tools increase modeling accuracy and interoperability with engineering disciplines.

With Green Badger cloud-based LEED certification software, contractors can earn credits through LEED v4.1, the green building rating system’s recent update. Users automate reporting and documentation for compliance with LEED standards and streamline compliance for LEED v4.1 projects, while comparing LEED v4 and v4.1 for efficiency for the project.

Viewpoint Analytics, a data platform for self-service reporting and predictive analytical capabilities, enables contractors to track operational and financial performance of their projects, processes, people and business. The platform uses real-time information entered from the field to analyze projects and help clients achieve on-time, on-budget performance.

Vector Solutions’ Vector Scheduling for employee scheduling, resourcing and human capital management brings configurable scheduling and operational tools through Vector’s RedVector, Convergence Training and IndustrySafe. Vector Solutions joined forces with CrewSense’s scheduling and workforce management platform, which integrates into Vector’s Public Sector Business Unit through its TargetSolutions brand.

Video & Cool Stuff

Verizon and Skyward, along with other drone companies, demonstrated network-based remote identification of drones with the InterUSS Platform. The demonstration included seven drone performing infrastructure inspection, delivery and recreational flights. Skyward simulated a beyond visual line of sight (BVLOS) infrastructure inspection flight with the drone flown directly over Verizon 4G LTE. Connecting drones to the wireless network enables sharing of information critical to the safe integration of drones into the National Airspace System.

Skyward advanced airspace intelligence for drone pilots provides a clear design, airspace data and LAANC access, combined with essential ground intelligence including 3D views of key structures, transmission lines and more than a million vertical obstacles.

The Carbon Leadership Forum, in partnership with a coalition of more than 30 building industry leaders that includes Autodesk and Skanska, is working to measure and reduce the carbon footprint of building materials. The Embodied Carbon in Construction Calculator (EC3) tool, an open source tool for the industry, allows users to access and view material carbon emissions data, then make carbon smart choices during material specification and procurement.

A Dodge Data & Analytics and e-Builder study, “Connecting Owners and Contractors: How Technology Drives Connected Construction” (registration required) highlights the challenges when owners and contractors manage construction projects using disparate software applications without automated data exchange. Key findings: 42% of contractors report using both the owner’s project management application and a specialized project management application designed for contractors; 45% of respondents are satisfied with the current data connectedness; and 73% of contractors report medium or high impact on the productivity of workers due to double-entry of construction data.

Med Modular, an EIR Healthcare company, designs, fabricates and delivers modular patient rooms that integrate technologies such as hands-free operation of doors, faucets and sinks; daylight-mimicking lighting; and visual displays and monitors. The modular units are designed to clients’ needs, manufactured in a factory, then shipped to the site where the rooms are stacked on top of each other or inserted into a site-built superstructure.
