Construction Employment News: November 2020
Here’s a look at employment moves that occurred in the construction industry this month.
Boswell Engineering
Michael P. Anderson, P.E., joined Boswell Engineering—a fully integrated, multi-disciplinary engineering firm—as New York state regional director. Anderson’s knowledge and professionalism will help strengthen the firm’s client relationships and continue its legacy of delivering quality service in the New York and New Jersey region.
Bradley Arant Boult Cummings LLP
Abigail B. Harris—an attorney with Bradley Arant Boult Cummings LLP—is the recipient of the Jo-Ann Golden Humanitarian Award from the southeast region of the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC). In addition, Harris was named president of the Greater Birmingham chapter of NAWIC.
Clark Construction Group
Phil Sheridan, a senior vice president at Clark Construction Group, was named one of the five industry leaders chosen as part of the 2020 class of Design-Build Institute of America (DBIA) Fellows. Designated Design-Build Professional Fellow status is the highest level of DBIA certification and acknowledges the achievements of the nation’s most accomplished design-build professionals.
Harkins
Mike Mallow was promoted to senior vice president of Harkins’ multifamily group, and will have executive oversight of the group’s market rate, affordable, senior living and renovation divisions. In January 2021, he will also celebrate his 40th anniversary as a Harkins employee, starting his career as a laborer. Harkins is an employee-owned construction company serving clients in the development of multifamily, commercial and government projects.
JLL
Phillip Mack joined JLL as senior director of operations in the firm’s Government Integrated Facility Management practice. Mack will work with JLL clients to reduce operating costs, implement sustainability strategies that curb energy consumption and use innovative systems to drive efficiencies in real estate portfolios. JLL is a professional services firm that specializes in real estate and investment management.
Stellar
John Bowles, Tim Jenkins and Joe Mark were named vice president of operations in the commercial division of Stellar. In addition, Justin Bridegan was promoted to vice president of marketing; Bob Hepp was named division vice president of parts, service and compressors; Stacey King was named vice president of human resources; and Chris Williams was promoted to division vice president of mechanical services. Stellar is a fully integrated design, engineering, construction and mechanical services firm.
