Construction Employment News: January 2022
Here’s a look at employment moves that occurred in the construction industry this month.
Dan Bond joined ABC of Metro Washington as president, starting Dec. 1, 2021. Former Chapter President Debbie Livingston retired at the end of 2021 after 30 years of service.
Cory Moore was named CEO of Big-D Companies, one of the largest construction organizations in the country, serving customers through a family of constructions firms operating in fourteen offices in eight states. Former CEO Rob Moore will remain involved with the company, serving as executive chairman.
Chris Steigerwald was promoted to operations vice president in Messer Construction’s Nashville office, specializing in higher education construction; Jason Wright was promoted to operations vice president of the firm’s Lexington office, specializing in health care and public construction; and Brian Borcherding was promoted to operations vice president of the company’s Cincinnati office, focusing on higher education, industrial and commercial construction. Messer is a full-service commercial contractor.
Craig Ruppert, founder and chief executive of Ruppert Companies (which includes Ruppert Landscape, Ruppert Nurseries and Ruppert Properties), was among the 2021 laureate class inducted into the Washington Business Hall of Fame by Junior Achievement of Greater Washington. Since its founding in 1988, more than 125 laureates have been inducted into the Washington Business Hall of Fame, which celebrates individuals in the private sector for their professional and philanthropic contributions to the quality of life in Greater Washington
