Among construction firm that have deployed mobile apps, 64 percent use them for inspections, followed by 38 percent for work orders and 35 percent for checklists, according to a survey of more than 1,100 business and IT decision-makers conducted by Canvas. Additionally, 58 percent of construction businesses use file storage apps (overwhelmingly Dropbox) and 30 percent use note-taking apps at work (split fairly evenly between Notepad and Evernote). Eleven percent use mobile credit card processing apps, with Square and Intuit GoPayment used most heavily. Salesforce and Quickbooks are the most common CRM and accounting apps used by construction businesses.
