Here’s a look at employment moves that occurred in the construction industry this month.

Atlantic Constructors, Inc.

Evan Shriver was promoted to chief executive officer of Atlantic Constructors, Inc. Art Hungerford, the company’s founding CEO, will transition to the role of chairman. Atlantic Constructors, Inc., is a full-service industrial and commercial contractor.

Baker Donelson

Bert Chollet joined Baker Donelson’s Nashville office as a member of the its Construction Group. Chollet joins Baker Donelson as counsel and practices in all areas of construction law. Baker Donelson is the 74th largest law firm in the country with 650 attorneys and public policy advisors representing more than 30 practice areas.

Larken Associates

Emilio Valdo was named senior estimator of Larken Associates’ Core Enterprises, the company’s in-house, full-service construction team. Larken Associates is a regional leader in commercial and residential real estate building, development and management.

McCarthy Building Companies, Inc.

Ann Poppen was promoted to vice president, operations in McCarthy’s Sacramento office and Kevin McKay was promoted to vice president, operations in the firm’s San Francisco office.

McCarthy is a national design-build general contractor.

Ruppert Landscape

David Hensel was promoted to branch manager of Ruppert Landscape’s Richmond East branch, its newest of six locations in Virginia. In the firm’s Maryland region, John Harich was promoted to director of business development and David Roles will transfer to firm’s Laytonsville branch. Ruppert Landscape is commercial landscape construction and management contractor.

Skanska USA

Barkley Richey was promoted to senior director of business development for the Georgia and South Carolina regions of Skanska USA. Barkley will be responsible for the firm’s strategic growth and development opportunities, and will be based in the Atlanta office. Skanska USA is one of the world’s leading construction and development firms.
