In just three years, Clark Construction’s Tampa, Fla., office and members of the local community have raised more than $65,000 via a car show benefitting Everyday Blessings. The nonprofit organization allows siblings who have been removed from their homes due to abuse, abandonment or neglect to stay together in a safe and stable environment and provides them with the support they need.

Maximizing Employees’ Community Impact

Through the Messer Foundation (founded in 2005) and events benefiting local organizations, the company donates grants and time to local food banks, youth groups and more. In 2013, more than 40 employee-recommended organizations applied for a grant from Messer and four were selected.

A Culture of Giving Back

For the past 15 years, Sundt Construction, Inc. has been awarding grants and sponsoring volunteer events through the Sundt Foundation. There are more than 500 members of the foundation, whose grants exceeded $500,000 in 2013 alone—illustrating that helping others is not just a small piece of Sundt, but rather an integral part of its culture.

Since October 2013, Associated Builders and Contractors’ Utah Chapter has worked with the Wounded Warrior Project to reach the organization’s goal of providing aid to injured service members and their families and helping injured soldiers find the support they need—raising more than $16,000 for the cause in just a few short months.
