Average annual salaries for craft professionals ranged from just over $47,000 to nearly $89,000—not including overtime, per diem, bonuses or other incentives—according to NCCER’s 2015 Construction Craft Salary Survey. Project managers and project supervisors topped the list, earning $88,675 and $77,917, respectively. Other professionals earning more than $65,000 annually included tower crane operators, power generation technicians, combo welders, power line workers and instrumentation technicians. Mobile crane operators, millwrights, pipe welders, electric systems technicians and heavy equipment operators earned more than $60,000 last year.

Industrial coatings applicators registered the most significant pay increase, up 35 percent from 2014 to $56,160 in 2015, followed by sprinkler fitters with a 26 percent pay increase to $59,072. Full survey results are available at nccer.org/uploads/docs/2015_ConstructionCraftSalarySurvey.pdf
