According to new research released by the Project Management Institute (PMI), talent deficiencies hamper 40 percent of strategy implementation efforts, inhibiting companies’ competitive advantage, growth and customer satisfaction.

In addition, 72 percent of PMI’s survey respondents say talent management will become increasingly important to strategy implementation and execution in the next three years. However, professionals and business leaders acknowledge that improvement is necessary in order to align talent management policies with strategic programs and projects.
